🧭 Job Overview:

AMET, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Board Room Technician to support the assembly and integration of electronic hardware for advanced automated welding systems. In this role, you will build, inspect, and install electronic components and assemblies that are critical to the performance and reliability of custom industrial equipment.

The Board Room Technician works from schematics, BOMs, and work instructions to assemble circuit boards and electronic hardware while maintaining quality standards and ESD-safe practices. This position is well-suited for individuals who enjoy precision work, have strong attention to detail, and want to contribute to high-performance systems used in demanding industrial applications.

📋 Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret schematics, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and work instructions.
• Place and solder (hand or machine) components (resistors, capacitors, ics) onto PCBs.
• Perform visual inspections, trimming leads, and basic rework.
• Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) precautions and maintain a clean workspace.
• Operate machinery like pick-and-place machines, Stencils, and Reflow Oven.

🎓 Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Soldering (SMT/THT), component identification, schematic reading, basic electronics knowledge.
• Certifications: IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certifications are often required.
• Soft Skills: Dexterity, attention to detail, good vision, focus, ability to follow instructions.
• Education: Often requires a high school diploma, technical certificate, or relevant training.
