🧭 Job Overview:

AMET, Inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Control and Shipping/Receiving Clerk to support the flow of materials and equipment for advanced automated welding systems. This role is responsible for coordinating domestic and international shipments, receiving and tracking inventory, and ensuring materials are accurately documented and available to support production and project schedules.

The Inventory Control and Shipping/Receiving Clerk works closely with production, accounting, and logistics partners to manage inventory accuracy, shipping documentation, and freight coordination. This position is well-suited for an organized, self-motivated individual who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment and understands the importance of accuracy, timing, and accountability in material control.

📋 Responsibilities:

• Domestic and international shipments including proper documentation, commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping marks, etc.
• Prepare packaging for outgoing shipments.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight.
• Liaison with customers to organize shipment to and from.
• Receive all incoming products, raw materials, equipment, components, assemblies and input into ERP.
• Locate all received items into designated areas via ERP location application.
• Perform stern guardianship role of stockroom and inventory – sign in/out and restocking.
• Pull stock for production via requisitions.
• Pull and verify “kitted” assembly items per work order; ensuring kits are complete and ready for assembly.
• Manage returned work orders.
• Creating work order and purchase order requests based on unfulfilled allocations.
• Coordinate trade show shipments with proper documentation and tracking.
• Physical maintenance of inventory, receiving and shipping areas.
• Inventory Cycle Counts.

🎓 Qualifications:

• Experience in shipping and receiving – both Domestic & Internationally.

• Forklift operation.

• Excellent computer and communication skills; Microsoft office, Email, ERP (xTuple).

• Be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Detail oriented, a self-starter, well organized, avoiding distraction, able to prioritize, take direction, and be self-motivated.
